Music Education

The Music Departments of Corley and Boaz Intermediate Schools are under the direction of Miriam Richey.  Each class comes to general music once a week for a 40 minute class.  They focus on the 5 main aspects of music:  singing, dancing, listening, playing, and creating.  Each grade has a major program presentation once a year.  It is always an exciting time for students and parents as well.   Boaz Intermediate School also has a choir program.  Students must audition to be selected and also have good grades and show good citizenship.  They perform a Christmas and spring concert and perform at other community events throughout the school year.
